
I've published Andhra style Sambar Powder recipe lately now I'm posting Andhra style Rasam powder recipe that we got from the MIL.Adding liberal volume of cumin seeds, pepper corns and coriander seeds helps make the rasam flavorful and spicy.A little volume of toor dal is put into the powder which will help in thickening the rasam.It's a quite simple and fundamental recipe that might help lots who are a new comer to kitchen.
Andhra Style Rasam Powder Recipe:
(stores up to per month)
1 1/2 cups Coriander seeds
1/3 cup Toor dal(split Pigeon peas)
2 tablespoons of Cumin seeds
3 tablespoons of black Peppercorns
- Inside a thick kadai dry roast coriander seeds until they turn slight brown colored and them aside.
- Within the same kadai dry roast toor dal until red colored and them aside.
- Add cumin seeds and peppercorns and fry them individually and them aside.
- After they awesome lower grind these to an excellent powder.
- Store it within an airtight container.
Add a few tsps of rasam powder while making rasam.
- You are able to dry roast and add 10-12 red chillies while making the rasam powder.
