Homemade, I'm onto you .

I am working my long ago with the latest topics here on BIABrewer, saw your publish and considered to myself, I've spent several hrs writing to HomeMade's prior questions already but haven't heard away from him on a number of of those posts.

I possibly could take more time replying towards the question you're asking within this thread providing you with things i think is an extremely good initial answer but since you have not responded to posts I yet others make for you lately in other threads, I'm worried that what we should wrote to date for you isn't 'doing it' for you personally. Otherwise, you will want to retort in individuals other threads and inform us why. If so, you will want to retort in individuals other threads and inform us why .

You've began lots of topics on this website within the last couple of days that is great but additionally make sure to look at this publish carefully. Nobody ever does as instructed for the reason that publish however it was written for any reason and that i suppose when the new site structure is set up, we'll all get opened up on a few of the instructions for the reason that notice. Quite simply, acknowledge people's replies and set a tick beside your thread if it's been clarified.

Hope which makes some sense!

unsure what u mean inside your opening statement however i are evident that which you say next

Initially I figured hey what's he on about I have clarified all individuals threads. but I decided to best make sure. I understood I never clarified one but I've got a draft saved which I'm not pleased with as It rambles and that i repeat myself abit however i think I'll just publish it anyway now.

It's my job to click on the view new publish link every time I get my iPad, I do not usually log out which means this appears a good way to refresh things. however nowadays i did not see anything new that u might be talking about and so i clicked the vista your site content link and observed a couple of that did not have my name because the last publish. I believe there have been three of your stuff.

One I described above, one I certainly haven't read and something appeared familiar but I'm not confident I've read also.

Therefore I'm sorry should i be not following a site rules I'll attempt to improve, and that i apologise because of not answering you and also others yet. I'll return to individuals posts, maybe I will not publish a lot of at the same time later on in order to better maintain all of them.

I believe I've been very diligent in thanking people and expressing satisfaction/requesting more information where appropriate. However I will check and adjust my approach if required.

I can tell that you simply put considerable time into this website and that i thank you for focus on detail and readiness to challenge conventional knowledge and arrive at the truth, eg: your comments on hops formulas and errors in other software have really clarified my confusion with that subject, this is exactly why I return.

HM, I had been pretty amazed at tasting 150 Lashes yesterday. I possibly could have sworn this beer, after i have sampled it previously, was just like a slightly subdued James Squire Golden Ale. The main one I sampled yesterday didn't have hint of Amarillo hops however it had Pride of Ringwood and that i might have known as it an Aussie lager instead of an ale.

I had been that surprised, I purchased another bottle tonight and, same factor, even though the 4g iphone were built with a slight hint of the items I'd consider as Styrian Goldings hops. Weird .

Arrived at consider it, the initial James Squire Golden Ale soon grew to become 'blanded down'. I am wondering should they have done exactly the same here? I do not mind the beer as it is still interesting but am very confused which i can't identify any American type hops.

Unsure how you need to play that one HM? I simply did a fast search and then any recipe I've found about this has amarillo inside it just like I figured. Why can't I smell or taste it? Why is this beer very light in colour (straw - not golden) and obvious rather of cloudy?

Anyway, tell us it you had been expecting passionfruity flavours and aromas out of this beer or otherwise and that i suppose we are able to take over from there?

I'm brewing with a few buddies, most of us have selected a method of beer we love to and we're brewing them consequently. Results and charges of every brew are shared between all of us, because of this , I have to have 50L VIF for every brew if at all possible.

Thats interesting that which you say concerning the 150 Lashes, I must admit I haven't drunk this for any lengthy time, I had been sitting and among my brewing bud's on Sunday and that he introduced two bottles over and stated he loved it which is the 'type' he desired to brew as our pale ale. After studying the label I had been disappointed concerning the hop flavour, It stated . a concoction of hops. but because you say, I did not dislike the beer either and thought why don't you. Because the Pale Ale was his choice within our consortium I simply leaped to the site and checked if there is anything listed under receipes, because there wasn't and so i made the decision to inquire about if anybody were built with a recipe on hands for this.

Given our insufficient understanding, our original idea ended up being to brew each selected style choice in the BCS book once we understood the receipe had initially created a top rated brew and for that reason ought to be good, when we reproduce rid of it enough The only issue is we've never attempted the originals therefore don't know what it really was designed to taste like therefore we can judge when we tried an acceptable job. Since deciding we've began to buy commercial beers in every style where we are able to to provide us an current sense of what we should may be getting.

BCS has American and British pale ales but no Aussie pale ales so we're not quite sure where 150 Lashes sits as it doesn't appear like a commercial example around the BJCP guidelines either.

Anyway, thats a brief history of methods we've got here if you're able to follow. The initial receipe we would follow was the Environmental protection agency Special/Best/Premium Bitter. I believe underneath the conditions we ought to stay with that original plan and obtain adventurous once there exists a couple of brews under our belt.

Sorry if you visited any problem for me personally.

Sorry if you visited any problem for me personally.

Little difficulty whatsoever. Your question is a greatOrfascinatingOrdifficult one.

Out of your publish above, I'm suspecting the version your mate wants of the beer may be the non-passionfruity aroma/flavour version. He wants the obvious, light coloured version with bugger-all aroma?

It's pretty absurd is not it, that two completely different beers could be offered underneath the same label. I believe I possess a good recipe for that non-passionfruit/no aroma style but want to run it by a few others. Are you able to hold back until the finish from the weekend with this?

Also, record your mate really wants the bland form of this beer. And lastly, HM, what country are you currently from? Answering that last question helps greater than what you know already. (You've most likely clarified it somewhere before but putting it inside your profile is definitely useful.)

Have updated my profile, I'm a citizen from the lucky country!

I've published 'somewhere' what our schedule of brews is, essentially we've taken 6 recipes from BCS and intend to brew all of them prior to getting adventurous!

We're brewing a German Pils next only then do we will try a Pale Ale, we're presently thinking about the BCS British Pale Ale - Special/Best/Premium Bitter.

I believe once we have labored our way with these some brews we'll go to check to, a minimum of our versions of individuals recipes.

So we're not intending to brew the Pale Ale for any couple of days and that i guess we're pleased to do anything whatsoever that's suggested, the 150 Lashes was most likely an evaluation on its overall bitterness instead of flavour/aroma. In the event that is sensible, basically we love to big Pale Ales but find we don't wish to drink most of them inside a sitting therefore brewing some thing mellow would suit our collective pallets but more flavour/aroma could be welcome.

I dont actually want to put anybody to the trouble here, I simply looked as it had been a well known craft beer someone somewhere could have a devised a receipe for this. Otherwise we're happy to choose the BCS Environmental protection agency.

[Most likely to much fuel aboard writing the below but hopefully the primary point is not too disguised one of the gibberish ]

Have recently written a lengthy response to you here re other question. I stated there which i would try to answer your question because well.

It appears as though I am free though as I am still not obvious on regardless of whether you want the passionfruit or bland form of this beer I pointed out within my last publish.

Here's one thought and i'm just guessing here. I am believing that my last publish here might have made no sense for you whatsoever. You might have been believing that 150 Lashes is 150 Lashes. That's a totally reasonable thought and you'll have thought my last questions here crazy!

But, the recipe/name provided to many commercial brews can frequently alter drastically. For instance.

1. Matilda Bay Dark Lager (a Shwartzbier) grew to become referred to as Dogbolter.
2. Before the above, Dogbolter would be a high alcohol British Ale.
3. Exactly the same company that created the above mentioned beers did the above mentioned name changes.

Hopefully this will make my question around the passionfruit/bland factor less strange.

If you're able to ever understand 1, 2 and three above, tell me. But, that's the reality of business brewing. Never expect your opinion of 150 lashes right now to match mine (and many more) of the couple of years back.

Weird stuff eh?
PP

Ian, this thread fascinated me a lot I really arranged another taste of 150 lashes a week ago. This batch too would be a bland one and so i am concluding that 150 lashes presently has no American hops.

There you have it
PP
