300g/10 oz Shortcrust Pastry
350g/12 oz Taters, peeled
250g/ ½ lb Onions, peeled and roughly-chopped
250g/ ½ lb Leeks, carefully-washed - then reduce pieces
45ml/3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
25g/1 oz Butter (along with a little to line the cake tins)
a little couple of fresh Parsley
a sizable pinch a Thyme
300g/10 oz grated Cheddar Cheese
2 medium cloves of Garlic clove, peeled and finely-chopped
2 Crisp Dessert Apples (red if at all possible), cored and reduce pieces - however the skin left on
60ml/4 tablespoon Milk or Single Cream
2 Eggs, gently-beaten
Salt and freshly-ground Pepper to taste
a pinch of Red Pepper Cayenne
Method
Gently butter the cake tins.

Unveil the pastry and line the cake tins. Chill the tins when you result in the filling.

Boil or steam the taters until they are tender - then chop them into bite-sized pieces.

Sauté the chopped onions and leeks on the gentle heat within the vegetable oil, until they are soft. Add some apple pieces and blend in.

Add some garlic clove, adopted through the taters, butter, parsley and thyme, the eggs, half the cheese and also the milk.

Season with pepper and salt and mix the mix well together.
The pies could be prepared ahead of time as much as this stage.

Fill the pies and canopy all of them with the rest of the cheese.

Bake these questions pre-heated oven 220C/425F/Gas 7, for 25 minutes, or until golden.
Serve warm.

What have you like concerning the Recipe?
Tastes amazing, cheesy, garlicky, hot with red pepper cayenne and sweet crunch of apple. Scrumptious cold or hot.
I adjust the recipe slightly with the addition of an impression more garlic clove, vintage or perhaps a strong cheddar cheese, a mixture of paprika and red pepper cayenne to include a rather more smoky flavour and cox apples for any sweeter crunch (don't over prepare the apples they require a little bit of bite).
Short crust pastry - Very easy to create on your own:
200g plain flour
110g Salted butter
Pinch of Salt
2-3 tablespoons of. of cold water
Rapidly rub flour and butter together to create a bread crumb constancy adding water piece by piece mixing until it forms a ball, don't over work and the pastry awesome, wrap in cling film, refrigerate.
Prepare all of those other recipe (skip the part about moving out and lining tins til you have got the filling all set to go within the cake). When the filling is prepared, now roll the pastry and line a greased tin/dish, fill and prepare.

What have you like concerning the Recipe?
A tasty vegetarian dish for meat eaters finally! I have managed to get a few occasions also it improves with more experience. I personally use spelt flour pastry due to a flour intolerance and soya rather of butter and milk but otherwise stick to the recipe. Today we'd 18 French and British buddies for supper and that i have demands from both nationalities for that recipe.

The flavours are fantastic. The filling is simple to create.
This has been created about 6 occasions with varied cheeses everybody continues to be effective. A mixture of Castellane and Cheddar cheese is most likely favourite
