4 cups (1lt) milk
100 gr (1/4 lb) margarine or butter
15 tablespoons of sugar
10 tablespoons of durum semolina
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
Walnut pieces or cinnamon for garnish

Inside a pot, melt the butter/ margarine. Add milk and sugar, stir from time to time over medium heat. Once the bubbles form at first glance add semolina and stir continuously till it might be thick (3-a few minutes).

Bir tencerede margarin ya da tereyagini eritin. Sutu ve sekeri ilave edip ara sira karistirarak orta ateste kaynatin. Kaynamaya baslayinca irmigi ilave edin ve koyu bir kivam olusana dek, yaklasik 3-5 dakika pisirin.
Boy olarak vanilyayi ilave edip, karistirin. Sutlu irmik tatlisini borcam tepsiye ya da kucuk kaselere koyabilirsiniz. Soguduktan sonra uzerine ceviz parcaciklari ya da tarcin koyarak servis yapabilirsiniz.

Irmik tatlisini denedim ve ilk yapisimda cok civik oldu ve kasikla yemek zorunda kaldik. 2. denemede 10 yerine 13 yemek kasigi irmik koyunca kivamini tutturdum. Yalniz sormak istedigim, bu tarifte yag kullanmasak olur mu. Zira ilk yapildigi gun degil de, ertesi gun yediginizde o yag tadini donmus vaziyette hissediyorsunuz. Yagsiz alternatif bir irmik tatlisi var mi acaba elinizde. Zira hatirladigim kadariyla bu tatlida uzman sayilabilecek teyzem yagsiz yapardi. Yazarsaniz sevinirim. Sevgiler.

Sanirim ben genelde kasik olculerinde hep tepeleme doldurarak kullaniyorum. Sanirim bunu tariflerde ozellikle belirtmem gerekiyor. Eger 10 kasik silme irmik kullandiysan, civik olmasinin sebebi belki bu olabilir.
Tatliyi yagsiz da yapabilirsiniz elbette. Yag genelde lezzetini arttirir. Ama diyet yapanlar icin, yagsiz ve az sekerli yapmalarini oneriyorum.
Sen de yagsiz deneyebilirsin. Belkide daha cok hosunuza gidecektir.
