Mango - 1/2
Toor dal/ Thuvaram paruppu - 1/3 cup
Sambar powder - 7Or2 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli - 1
Tamarind - a little marble sized
Onion - 1, cubed
Tomato - 1/2, chopped
Curry leaves - couple of
Salt - When needed
To temper
Oil/ ghee - 1 teaspoon
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Jeera - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Asafoetida powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Method
- Pressure prepare dal for 4 whistles with 1 cup water, red chilli, a pinch of asafoetida and couple of drops of sesame oil. Mash it once done and aside. Soak tamarind in serious trouble and extract the juice and aside.
