Surprised? You shouldn't be, as you can now prepare the famous ‘Agra ka petha' in your own home very easily using the below pointed out steps:
Kaddu (pumpkin), fresh lemon juice, sugar, ilaichi, rose water
1. Take 1 kg pumpin (white-colored pumpkin is more suitable) and work into pieces after separating the seeds. Have a fork making pores within the pumpkin pieces.
2. Take 2-3 glasses of water and squeeze a lemon inside it. Now soak the pumpkin pieces inside it for fifteen minutes after which wash them.
3. Boil water inside a pan and set these pieces inside it and allow them to boil till they become soft and transparent. Sieve the pieces and them aside.
4. Concurrently, take 2 glasses of water together with 3 glasses of sugar and boil it.
5. Add tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and three-4 ilaichi inside it and stir. Boil it till it might be thick syrup.
6. Go ahead and take pumpkin pieces and blend all of them with the sugar syrup once it's prepared. Prepare it for just two-3 minutes before switching off the flame.
7. Add 1 tablespoons of of rose water and allow dry for more than 3-4 hrs.
Voila! Sweet ‘pethas' are prepared.
