
Sambar Masala may have been a significant south Indian spice but because of its aroma and taste it is famous around the globe.
The Sambhar prepared using these spices can be purchased with Dosa, Idli or Vada. Sambhar Masala may also be used by means of Tawa masala while stir frying or Tawa frying vegetables.
-Ingredients for Sambar Masala
- Chana Dal - 1 tablespoons of
- Urad dal - 1/2 tablespoons of
- Whole coriander(dhaniya) - 3 tablespoons of
- Jeera(cumin seeds) - 1tbsp
- Methi seeds - 1 tablespoons of
- Cloves - 20
- Blabk pepper - 1tsp
- Elaichi(cardamom) - 4 (peeled)
- Rie - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1 tablespoons of
- Heeng(asafoetida) - three or four pinch
- Red chilly powder - ten to twelve(whole)
- Curry leaves - 20 to 25(whole
- Cinnamon - 2 pieces
- Steps to make Sambar Masala
Place the Chana and Urad dal around the pan(Tawa) and fry till they turn light brown. Remove the fried dals on the plate.
Put coriander, Jeera, Methi, Rie all the spices within the pan and fry till these turn light brown then remove them.
When the spices awesome lower, mix all of the remaining spices and dals, grind to create a fine powder. Sambhar Masala is prepared.
