
Andhra Style Mushroom curry is also referred to as South Indian Mushroom Curry. It's more quantity of spices along with a quite sweet flavour of Cashews and poppy seeds. The curry is better for everyone with grain or chapati.
Ingredients for Andhra Style Mushroom Curry :
250 grams Mushrooms (try whole button mushrooms)
1 onion
2 tomato
2 table-spoon Poppy Seeds (Khas Khas)
1 Big Cardamom
1 " Cinnamon stick
5-6 Cashews (Kaju)
1 t-spoon ginger root paste (Adrak)
1 t-spoon garlic clove paste (Lahsun)
2 eco-friendly chillies, chopped
1/2 t-spoon cumin, powdered (jeera)
1/2 t-spoon turmeric (haldi)
1/2 t-spoon coriander (pisa dhaniya)
1/4 t-spoon chili powder (Lal Mirch)
4 table-spoon oil
1 table-spoon ghee
1 t-spoon salt in order to taste
Steps to make Andhra Style Mushroom Curry :
- Fry cashews in 1 table-spoon ghee till light brown. Grind poppy seeds and cashews to some fine paste. Cut mushrooms into small pieces.
- Create a puree of tomato and onion individually utilizing a blender.
- Heat oil inside a medium size pan. Add onion paste and eco-friendly chillies into it, stir frequently, keep your flame to medium and prepare the mix till golden brown.
- After 4-a few minutes add cardamom, cinnamon, tomato puree, ginger root, garlic clove paste, coriander, cumin, turmeric and chili powder and prepare further for just two mins.
- Add mushrooms and cashew-poppy seeds paste, season with salt and prepare further on low heat for five mins.
- Add 1/2 to at least one cup water towards the pan as you wish. Prepare mushrooms by covering pan having a lid until mushrooms get correctly cooked and also you obtain the preferred thick curry.
- Serve Andhra Style Mushroom Curry hot with grain or chapati.
