Turmeric powder – teaspoon
Salt – to taste - For dal:
Oil – 2 teaspoons
Ginger root paste or freshly grated – teaspoon
Garlic clove paste or freshly grated – teaspoon
Eco-friendly chilies – 2, chopped finely
Onion – cup, chopped
Tomato plants – 1 cup, chopped
Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Garam masala – teaspoon - For tadka (tempering) –
Oil – 2 teaspoons
Mustard seeds – teaspoons
Cumin seeds – teaspoon
Curry leaves – 5-6
Dry red chili – 1, damaged into two pieces
Steps to make Chana Dal (Step-by-step Recipe with Photos):
1) Take chana dal inside a colander. wash it under running cold water till water runs obvious.
2) Absorb enough water not less than half an hour. More soaking time won't hurt.
3) Now discard the cooking water. take dal in pressure oven together with fresh 1 glasses of water. Add turmeric powder and salt.
