
This is among the easy dry curry which you'll make within 20 mins approximately. There are just couple of spice powders put in this, however it taste great. This dish is known as as khatta meetha kaddu..Khatta means sour, meetha means sweet and kaddu means pumpkin..So it's sweet and sour pumpkin..The sourness originates from the amchoor powder and wonder originates from pumpkin and sugar..If you do not have amchoor powder, you can include little tamarind or fresh lemon juice.

Serves: three or four
Pumpkin - around 3 cups peeled and cubed
Oil - 2 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeeragam - 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Sugar - 2 teaspoon
Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder - 2 teaspoon in order to taste
Roasted Cumin Powder - 1.5 teaspoon
Pepper Powder - 1 teaspoon

Heat oil inside a kadai. Include cumin and allow them to sizzle.
Include pumpkin and toss well in oil. Include salt and sugar and blend well. Cover and prepare on the low heat for ten to fifteen mins till pumpkin is cooked. It needs to be cooked but nonetheless it must hold its shape.
Now include amchoor, roasted cumin powder and pepper powder. Mix well.
Finally include coriander leaves and blend well.
Serve this with grain, roti or poori.
