Easy apple dumpling recipe crescent roll

Easy apple dumpling recipe crescent roll

4 large apples, peeled, cored and quartered
2 cans Crescent Rolls
1 cup Orange juice
1 cup sugar
1-to-1Or2 teaspoon. cinnamon
2 sticks butter

Don't PREHEAT OVEN:

1. Grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
2. Wrap each apple wedge inside a crescent roll so it's completely or mostly encased within the dough. Arrange evenly in prepared dish.
3. In a tiny saucepan over medium heat - combine orange juice, sugar, cinnamon and butter. Prepare stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Pour over dumplings.
4. Set to 350°F and bake dumplings 25 to half an hour, or until golden brown. Serve warm using the sauce (can also add whipped topping)

This recipe is amazing, yet so simple. For those who have any leftovers, put dumplings right into a bowl - spoon just a little sauce over - and microwave for around 25 seconds. This can certainly be a family favorite.
