Dulce de Leche or Arequipe is a superb and scrumptious toffee. The kids like it, and I must prepare one nearly every week. It is simple to make and you may eat it alone or with fruit, biscuits or toast.

Arequipe- Dulce de Leche or Toffee (British version below)

  • 1 tarro de Leche condensada
  • Agua suficiente
  1. No destape el tarro de Leche condensada, solo se quitan las etiquetas del tarro y se mete en una olla.
  2. Se llena la olla de agua para que cubra el tarro, y se pone a fuego medio, por una hora y media o dos horas (ver nota).
  3. Agregue más agua a medida que se vaya evaporando, mantener el tarro cubierto.
  4. Una vez retirada la olla del fuego, se deja reposar hasta que enfrié completamente.
  5. Se abre el tarro y se vierte el contenido en united nations recipiente disadvantage tapa.
  • Dejar enfriar el arequipe antes de meterlo a la nevera.
  • Entre más tiempo se deje hirviendo el agua disadvantage el tarro de leche condensada, más caramelizado es el dulce.
