Haven't attempted these yet, however i intend to because DH is really a diabetic Along with a chocolate lover! However, Used to do wish to give a comment first about using Splenda in baked goods - to improve volume, add 1/2 cup of dry milk powder and 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate. Also, if you're replacing the sugar with Splenda Sugar Blend (not Splenda granular), make sure to just use 1/2 from the measurement of real sugar known as for within the recipe. Hope these pointers help - visit world wide web.Splenda.com & click the Cooking & Baking tab towards the top of the page. -M ***UPDATE*** Made these over weekend & was happy with the outcomes, even though the brownies appeared a little dry -- I am new at baking with Splenda, and so i did not realize I ought to took them from the oven a couple of minutes prior to the mentioned baking time. But, they are excellent nevertheless. The next time I believe I'll then add choc chips simply to boost the chocolate flavor. Thank you for posting!
An excellent Splenda recipe having a great flavor! The perfect quantity of chocolate. I baked them for just 25 minutes to avoid being too dry. Thank you for discussing this recipe. Prepared while a participant within the "Low-in and Free-of Feb 2008 Photo Forum Event.
I made these in my boss who's a diabetic, and it was almost too embarassed to provide these to him. Maybe should you bending the Splenda just like a previous reviewer stated, this is a much better brownie recipe (even though they still did not rise such as the ones pictured). Out of the box, this can be a fairly good recipe for slightly soft, kind of sweet chocolate pancakes.
