- 1/2 cup chana dal
- 1 small lauki (reduce small pieces)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon garlic clove (minced)
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon tumeric
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 4 teaspoons dhaniya powder
- salt to taste

- Soak chana dal in serious trouble for ten minutes and boil it.
- Heat oil inside a pan, add cumin seeds so when they turn brown, add onion and garlic clove. Prepare it till it turns light pink.
- Add lauki, chana dal and all sorts of dry masala inside it. Prepare for just two minutes, add 1/2 cup water and allow it to prepare till lauki is soft and tender. Serve hot with chapatis.
