The authentic method requires either Bbq or conventional oven to obtain smoky flavor. However not everybody can access BBQ and often its not easy to use Bbq. This step-by-step photos recipe overcomes this problem by utilizing tava to prepare paneer tikka dry. This process gives nice crispy texture to paneer and vegetables but doesn't have smoky flavor.

Serves: 4 servings
1 cups Paneer (cottage type cheese). reduce 1-inch square, 1/2 inch thick slices
2 Eco-friendly Capsicums, reduce 1-inch squares
1 Red Capsicum, reduce 1-inch squares
1 medium Onion, reduce 1-inch chunks
1 teaspoons Ginger root-Garlic clove Paste
1 cup Hung Curd (or Greek Yogurt)
1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
1/2 teaspoon Kasuri Methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
1 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
1 tablespoons Oil
1-2 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice
1 medium Onion, thinly sliced (for garnishing)
How you can Prepare Hung Curd?
Hang approximately 1 cup curd (plain dahi) in muslin cloth for half an hour to organize 1 cup hung curd. If it's watery, then hang it for another hour. Use full fat curd (less watery curd) for the best result.
Directions:- Take hung curd inside a big bowl and beat it until smooth. Add ginger root-garlic clove paste, red chilli powder, garam masala, kasuri methi, coriander powder, 1-teaspoon chaat masala and salt inside it. Mix well and make preparations a marinade.
Add paneer, both kinds of capsicum and onion, mix lightly to coat all added ingredients with marinade. Keep aside for one hour to marinate. If at all possible, cover and put them in refrigerator to marinate overnight.
Arrange red capsicum, eco-friendly capsicum, onion, paneer and eco-friendly capsicum in given order on small wooden toothpick/ skewer.
Heat non-stick griddle or tawa, spread 1 tablespoons oil onto it. When tawa is hot enough, shallow fry skewered paneer and vegetables over medium heat.
Prepare both sides by turning toothpick/ skewer until every side are light brown. This can take approximately 3-4 minutes. Crispy paneer tikka dry is prepared.
Transfer these to an amount plate and take away the toothpick/ skewer by holding bottom most vegetable in position and sliding skewer backwards. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon chaat masala and couple of drops of fresh lemon juice regarding this and garnish with thinly sliced onion and serve.
Tips and Variations:- If you don't have non-stick griddle or non-stick tawa, then use regular tawa or griddle and increase the oil while shallow frying to avoid it from sticking.
- Use Kashmiri red chilli powder for excellent color. It's less hot but provides a nice color.
- Use tomato, yellow capsicum and baby corn for variation.
- Use sour cream if curd isn't available.
- Tofu can be used an alternative of paneer within this recipe.
Taste: Spicy, soft inside, crispy outdoors.
Serving Ideas: Dry paneer tikka could be offered with eco-friendly chutney like a side dish or starter.

I wish to do this recipe on Saturday. If baking in oven, what temperature must i bake at?
